The “kid-friendly” non-graphic imagery, 100 audio stories, Ground Zero artifacts and rare photos housed in this non-profit museum exhibit the heroic efforts of the FDNY firefighters on that fateful day in 2001 and the 9-month “Recovery Period." See the "Bible Page" and the "Frozen Clock." Winner of Cool New York City’s “Top 25 Museums in the USA” award in 2013 & 2014, this is the only place you can actually pick up and hold Ground Zero artifacts, a chilling reminder for adults and a chance for young children to learn about a significant moment in history. Located in the historic Meatpacking District on West 14th street near the High Line Park and Chelsea Market Eateries. Known world-wide as the "Biggest LITTLE Museum in New York." - This does NOT include admission to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The Ground Zero Museum Workshop was established in 2005 and focuses heavily on the 9-month dig for the missing of the September 11 tragedy
- There are only TWO Museums in NYC for September 11. Ground Zero Museum Workshop is a separate tour/experience from the 9/11 Memorial Museum
