Things to do on President's Day in New York City (Updated 2026)

Very moving experience. I actually went twice, once in June and once in August with different family members. I stayed for about 2 hours on each visit. The crowd size was relatively small the first time I went, but very busy the second. Needless to say, the atmosphere is very solemn, where there is a film playing upstairs, and there is different film on the lower level. This is something that all Americans should experience.

Wild , incredible, one by of the best attractions in new york city. Really recommended to all ages. Go for sure don't miss

This was a great tour, led by an amazing individual who nailed every part of the tour. He was passionate, explain things clearly, and also use humor and history to tell the story. It’s so worth the money!

It’s a good experience. The hosts are super helpful. Walking through is a nice experience and the ice cream was good. It’s definitely a bang for your buck!

It's a nice visit, not very spooky if you are looking for a scare, but the history and context is certainly good.

Great tour filled with tons of historical background and very fun facts! I live in NYC and have walked through Grand Central for years not knowing much of what I learned on this tour. John was a really fun guide and knew his stuff. Highly recommend!

The tour is very informative and Luke was wonderful - great sense of humor. You really don’t get to see the world insides of the buildings except to use the bathroom. But you learn a lot about the gilded era :)

This was an amazing experience! Our family loved the exhibits and all the educational plaques. Plan on spending several hours here.

You have a wonderful tour guide who makes the trip fun pointing out points of interest, but being very personable!!!

I would recommend bringing a jacket or sweater, especially at night. I would also recommend eating a good meal prior to boarding.
