Stefan confidently and safely guided us through the city center on a hot day. The stops were all in the shade, and the information was very interesting. Stefan knows the city very well; his enthusiasm is contagious. We had enough time for photos. The ride was relaxed. We booked a bike tour the very first day (3 June) to get to know the city as a family of 3. We have been lucky that Michael was our guide, warm welcome and top tour. We were a small group of 6 people on a fine Gazelle e-bike. Highly recommended!! All nice & impressive neighborhoods were visited and Michael knew how to tell about everything. After the tour you will immediately have landmarks of the city!

I had a wonderful time for a bike tour in Brooklyn. Would highly recommend this trip. I took the tour with Jeff who is not only a great guide but also a great person, we spent close to 4 hours riding along Brooklyn’s street stopping for explanations and open discussion about the world in general. Both the explanations and the discussions were interesting and educating. On my next visit to NYC (hopefully soon) I’m planning to take another tour runs by Brooklyn Giro Bicycle Tours.

My visit on March 13th, 2026 was my third time creating a chef's knife, and it was as enjoyable and productive as my previous two!! Paulie; the class instructor; is very knowledgeable about metal working about eagerly shares his knowledge and experience. He is also quite fun and humrous. As to the actual workshop, the participant is provided with a bar of steel about 10 in x 2 in and later in the evening two wooden blocks about 3/8" x 1-1/2" x 5" for the knife handle. the steps in creating the particular chef knife that was decided upon from the templates, self designed or printed from someplace are relatively simple to perform, just somewhat labor intensive and also require; for some steps; caution as to not injure oneself or someone else. The most labor intensive portion was the filing of the steel to create the bevel for the cutting edge. Using the jig that was so graciously developed and supplied by the Craftsman Ave staff, makes getting the bevel to the correct angle. Just requires quite a lot of back and forth and left to right movement to get the bevel. The steel is then heat treated abd quenched then heat treated a second time to get the proper hardness. The remainder of the class is spent on fashioing the handle to the particular handle of the knife created. All in all, a very pleasurable and productive afternoon.

Amazing experience
I had the most amazing chef knife forging class with Paulie. All of the staff were personable, fun, patient and answered all of our questions. Our chef knife turned out beautifully and they really went above and beyond from playing my favorite band to customizing the knife. We did the dinner date with wine and pizza. Definitely worth it!
