Cleare even stopped to say hello & talked about the great things Harlem has to offer. We returned the very next day for the African American Day Parade. We experienced the soul & culture of the city with this tour & because of it will definitely be back.

Rudy (our guide) was top drawer, he is actually is a local and was very knowledgeable and knew the history and back story of all the places we visited, very courteous and thorough in his explanations, advised us on great places to eat and the kicker for me is that people knew him wherever he went and we felt safe as we as informed,_I won’t go into any details of the tour as I don’t want to spoil anything. I would recommend asking for Rudy by name as I recommend him and taking the tour at the beginning of your holiday as the tips and advice came in handy and we saved a lot of money. Once again me and my wife thank Rudy for making the day outstanding.

Filip was great- charming and funny! I had my 12 year old daughter with me for this bike ride and it was fun for both of us. We have tried touring the park ourselves but it’s so massive it’s hard. This is a great way to cover a lot of ground and have someone tell you the importance of the locations and point out what’s what! Thank you!

Jessica led the way to 7 local eateries where we sampled a variety of Italian cuisine which were all so yummy 😋 as she simultaneously shared the history of Italian Americans who migrated to Williamsburg. Today in particular, was quite special because we toured with her Dad, whom was beyond proud of his beautiful daughter! She is so personable, informative & her passion for her heritage shines through in her presentation. This is a tour which will not only delight your tastebuds but will send you off with a greater appreciation of Italian history & Williamsburg!🥰

Who knew fashion was so key to the history of New York City? This tour is a fascinating blend of politics, consumerism, geography, self-expression, celebrities, labor and identity in America (but especially NYC!) Meri was the ideal tour guide, she was funny, thoughtful, sharp, considerate -- and she enhanced the tour with visuals (she brought an iPad to show vintage photos of buildings, clothing designs, and various snapshots from the past 100+ years). Surprise perk: The tour is focused on one neighborhood, so you don't have to do a marathon walk. The two and a half hours flew by. I can't believe how much was packed into one tour -- I learned about so many different things since fashion is tied to a wide range of subjects. I appreciate that the presentation never felt condescending. Bonus: Meri knows where the best bathrooms are in the Upper East Side.

10/10 recommend! Meri is a wonderful guide and takes you through the history of American fashion and New York’s role in it over a 2.5hr walking tour. I know very little about fashion and never felt during the tour like I needed to know more to do the tour. The tour is well planned and has lots of interesting information. You won’t regret spending a Sunday morning doing this tour.
