I joined this experience for free as a tester through Partiful in exchange for my review. It was a lovely experience and I appreciated the host’s story of how she became interested in sketching, and the research she had done on the location.In the beginning, there was an orientation encouraging us to focus on what drew your attention, and at each stop, there were prompts to guide your sketching, which I found helpful. I appreciate that the group was kept small and intimate. At the end, we had a serendipitous chat with a longtime local couple who shared their stories on their history in the area.

We had such a great time on the rat tour with Kenny. He was a wonderful guide, friendly, engaging, and genuinely made sure everyone had a fun night.It was cool hearing about his journey to becoming "Rat Daddy," learning about the work he does, and hearing all kinds of interesting facts about NYC's rat population. He also knew exactly where to take us, and we got to see plenty of rats just going about their rat business.I'd highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors. It's a unique way to experience a side of New York City that most people never notice, and it's also a really pleasant evening stroll through Chinatown and the Lower East Side.

We've done MANY tours with Manhattan Walking Tour and they've all been excellent! Every guide we've had has been knowledgeable and friendly. It has always been a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this company when you're in NY. In fact, I just sent their website to a friend planning a trip this winter. Most recently we did a combination the Chinatown food tour and Downtown/Lower Manhattan with Jake. Jake is so much fun- he knows so much about the food and my son enjoyed talking to him about the Broadway show we had seen the night before and what should be on our list for our next trip! They advertise that it's like being shown around the city by a friend and this is true every time! In the past we've also done Hell's Kitchen, The Highline, Central Park, and a few others-lol!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Evie and the incredible, fun, informative experience we had at the Met. We took our child (then ~10 years old) to the Met on our last trip to NYC, and we learned from that experience that taking our child through a museum unguided was asking for lots of complaining and misery. The experience was radically different this time with Evie. She was so engaging in the way she connected the art to stories that kids know (mostly Harry Potter, but other fantasy series as well and peppering in interactive activities throughout the tour. All of us (adults and kids) learned a great deal about fantasy and myth as well as general recommendations for books, movies, TV, and NYC places to visit. We would absolutely book another tour with Fable & Lark again! Highly, highly recommend.

As a former resident of Greenwich Village, I was surprised by all of the hidden rock 'n roll history dotted on the busy streets. Ann brought stories from venues that have long since closed along with plenty of pictures showing the stacked billings for performances by Springsteen, Dylan, and many of their now famous peers in places that held a hundred people on a busy night. This is an amazing glimpse into the origins of so much of our popular music today.

This tour was a birthday present for my husband, who loves Bruce Springsteen and is also very into music. Ann gave us the inside scoop on the music scene where Springsteen and Dylan began. We learned so much and had a great time! Ann is a fantastic guide - I'm not as into the topic as my husband, but we both loved the tour.

We took the « Discover the Birthplace of NYC » walking tour with Dave and it was spectacular. He was very knowledgeable and toured us around the most historical areas of New Amsterdam/New York City. He had old photos of some of the areas we visited to provide perspective of the times. A great tour for people interested in history and and opportunity to see some of the few remaining sites of the original settlement.
