This was my tenth (estimate, as I have done so many) waling tour with Bowery Boys. Each one is outstanding. Robert, our tour guide for this tour was extremely well versed with the Chinatown scene, both through personal experience and his research. He made the trip entertaining, while constantly providing us with a wealth of information. He even shared his mother's favorite stores to shop that have the best prices! The timing at each food stop was very appropriate. The food was great and while eating Robert continued to share a wealth of information. Despite being a lifetime New Yorker, there was so much I learned from this tour. The 8 of us on the tour became a very cohesive group, despite the fact that many of us did not know each other prior to the tour.I will continue to take Bowery Boys tours and listen to their podcasts as clearly everyone associated with the company truly care about what they are doing and love what they are doing. If you are not in the New York area, at least listen to their podcasts??

Great tour! I've been on many food tours in NYC and this one stands out. Brian doesn't just have a great knowledge of the city, he really knows his food and the people who make it. You get to eat all the city's classic foods, and he has managed to find the best examples of all of them. He takes you to neighborhoods you've heard of, as well as cool areas a little more off the radar. You'll really get to know this city while eating yummy food!

Once again I spent an enlightening 2 hours on a Bowery Boys walking tour. Over half the people on the tour were from the NYC area. Despite this we all walked away having learned so much. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. She was very sensitive to the fact that it was a humid day. She did a great job finding shady spots when we stopped to learn more about a building.I have been on many of the Bower Boys' tours and each one has been consistently outstanding. I feel like I am learning so much about my City despite having been born here. Listening to the podcast that is on a topic covered in a walking tour enhanxces the walking tour experience.These tours have been gems. I share this information with many friends as there is so much to enjoy and learn at the same time.

I’ve lived in New York all of my life and never knew the rich history this part of the city had to offer. My favorite themes were New York before, during, and after the American Revolution and the African Burial Ground Memorial. Our tour guide, Ed, was amazing and his wealth of knowledge made this tour something I will never forget. I highly recommend the Walk up Broadway tour!

I’ve lived in NYC my whole life, worked in lower Manhattan throughout my entire career , and have a decent knowledge of NYC history and architecture from other walking tours and personal reading. I learned things during Ed’s tour along lower Broadway that astonished me. He’s passionate about NYC and offers a unique opportunity to roll centuries of insightful history into a two-hour walking tour of the very highest quality which will enhance not only the appreciation of visitors, but also native NYers.I’ve also taken Ed’s exceptional tour of the FW Woolworth building which is usually off limits to visitors. This tour was truly excellent. Robert is a fantastic tour guide, and the food was delicious. I was delighted to taste some dishes that I wouldn't have otherwise known about, and learn the history of old favorites. Robert's deep knowledge of the area and the people who live and work there makes this a very special tour. The places we visited weren't the typical tourist traps, which was especially cool.
