This year was our fourth annual Bike Trip with friends. We had not heard of the Empire Trail, but Gotham convinced us. They were 150% right. The trail is wonderful, shaded paths through parks, old trellis bridges, rolling farmlands and food that is much better than the more prestigious GAP, C&O and Katy. Gotham did an amazing job coordinating all our needs. Most importantly the bikes were great, which really matters when you are riding over 300 miles. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

Brian was very knowledgeable on the places he took us. It was great to have someone local who knew the history of the buildings and other sites. He was a breath of fresh air in a city we had never been too, and took his time answering questions about different places. We were able to spend quite a bit of time with him. Overall, I definitely recommend Brian as your tour guide, you will not be disappointed.

My visit on March 13th, 2026 was my third time creating a chef's knife, and it was as enjoyable and productive as my previous two!! Paulie; the class instructor; is very knowledgeable about metal working about eagerly shares his knowledge and experience. He is also quite fun and humrous. As to the actual workshop, the participant is provided with a bar of steel about 10 in x 2 in and later in the evening two wooden blocks about 3/8" x 1-1/2" x 5" for the knife handle. the steps in creating the particular chef knife that was decided upon from the templates, self designed or printed from someplace are relatively simple to perform, just somewhat labor intensive and also require; for some steps; caution as to not injure oneself or someone else. The most labor intensive portion was the filing of the steel to create the bevel for the cutting edge. Using the jig that was so graciously developed and supplied by the Craftsman Ave staff, makes getting the bevel to the correct angle. Just requires quite a lot of back and forth and left to right movement to get the bevel. The steel is then heat treated abd quenched then heat treated a second time to get the proper hardness. The remainder of the class is spent on fashioing the handle to the particular handle of the knife created. All in all, a very pleasurable and productive afternoon.

My son and I were blessed to take a walking tour of the Brooklyn Bridge and various neighborhoods with Marc. He was COMPLETELY AMAZING. The photos are treasures for years to come! The entire package was reasonably priced not to mention Marc is a complete gem! My only regret is that I didn't book a second tour of Central Park with him. This was by far the best tour we did while in NYC (and we did it ALL) and I will forever cherish the memories and photos❤️ Thank you, Marc
