Equal parts Educational, Interesting and Fun!

Highly recommend Matthew’s Gilded Age tour! Was in NYC for my birthday and brought along a good friend to join me. Right out of the gate , Matthew was drawing all of us in to his tour with interesting and sometimes humorous stories, historical tidbits/trivia about this opulent period of time in US history…. And all the big names that were part of it.He had great visual aids via many historical photos/maps queued up and ready on his iPad to accompany his tour. In a nutshell, Matthew is clearly passionate about what he does and it shows. He has taken great care and organization to ensure an interesting and fun tour.

Recommend Joan as a Tour Guide

The guided tour of the museum is definitely worth the money. Joan was our tour guide and she described her personal experience on that day. She witnessed the towers burning and the collapse of the buildings. She is very passionate about 9/11 and making sure that people do not forget. She told many stories of bravery and sacrifice that day. There were items in the museum related to those stories that she wanted us to look for in the museum. I would not have realized the significance of those items unless I had taken the tour. The experience of knowing that you are in the footprint of the towers is very powerful. Highly recommend getting a tour and requesting Joan as your tour guide.

Great NYC experience!

We took the 2.5 hour tour on a beautiful Saturday at 1:30. Our tour guide, Andy, was so knowledgeable, interesting and funny! We learned so much about the island we would've never learned on our own. The only bad part was a family next to us talked constantly! However, for a tourist or a NY'er that wants to learn new things, this is some of the best money you could spend.

We had a good time. Very clean enough space for everyoneThe only recommendation is more personell to gently redirect clients on keeping a behavior for a spa. In the relaxation rooms and hydro treatments others screaming and talking loudly. The pools were loud too. Having people lead you in some exercises of deep breathing or relaxation would be good. Food items were good. The drinks priced ok. But would give something extra for those who buy the all day pass. I would go again but maybe during a weekday to avoid those less well behaved crowds.

Great tour of The Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral

Jimmy was a great tour guide! It’s been about 7 years since I’ve toured old St Patrick’s. Jimmy was a wealth of knowledge of the Cathedral, catacombs, and the history of the neighborhood. He was incredibly friendly and takes great interest in passing along important historical facts that have shaped the nation. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to know more about history of NY.
